The Formula 1 Powerboat World Championship is international. The ten The GP races which make up the championship take place in Europe, Middle-East, India and the Far-East.

The Formula 1 Powerboat tour comes to Finland in the summer of 2008. The host will be the sporting City of Lahti and the Lake Vesijärvi.

The Formula 1 Powerboat Championship is shown in 100 countries. Its annual TV coverage totals up to over 600 hours worldwide. The F1 boats will be covered extensively also on the Finnish television channels in 2008, Sami Seliö knows.
